Paula Daugherty, the owner and wedding cake designer, since 2000, enjoys the art and design that goes in all of her wedding cakes. Paula views all of her cakes as an expression of the exciting union between the bride and groom.

She has worked for local bakeries and eateries giving her a strong yet unique education in the art of baking. She is known to possess a fine attention to detail by her clients and friends.

What is the availability of the baker?

The baker is available during normal business hours from nine to five Monday through Friday. During non business hours, please leave a message and your phone call will be returned promptly.

What are my flavor and decoration options?

Flavor and decoration options are very flexible and can suit the customer’s needs. There are 5 cake flavors and 5 filling flavors. Any of the flavors or fillings can be mixed and matched in the cake. For example, if you have a three tiered cake each tier can be a different flavor with different fillings.

Cake Flavors: French Vanilla, Champagne, Chocolate, Carrot, and Red Velvet.

Filling Flavors: Bavarian Cream, Cream Cheese, Lemon, Strawberry, and Raspberry.

What is the cost?

Prices vary based upon the type of cake ordered. Also included in the price is your first year anniversary cake! Please contact us for exact pricing details.

Does fondant or handwork cost extra?

Yes, any cake which includes handmade decorations or fondant work requires an extra fee.

Can I sample flavors?

You can sample as many cake flavors as you would like. The samples cakes are 5 inches in diameter and cost 5.00 a piece.

When can I contact or meet with the baker?

If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact the baker at any time. The baker understands that brides are busy and will schedule a time to speak with you or meet you that will be convenient for you.

Can I change my order if necessary?

The baker understands that changes might be needed along the way. Any order can be changed up until two weeks before your event. You can make changes to the size of the cake, the cake flavor and the cake filling if necessary.

Are there any booking fees?

There are no booking fees.

Are there any cancellation fees?

If you cancel your order at least 14 days in advance of your event, you will not be charged a cancellation fee. If you do not cancel your order with the baker at least 14 days in advance of your event, you will charged a 50.00 cancellation fee.

Are there any delivery fees?

The delivery fee is 75.00 which covers delivery and set up of the cake to anywhere in the greater Toledo area.

What is the payment schedule?

The baker is very flexible with payment arrangements and no deposit is required. The only stipulation is that the cake must be paid for in full at least two weeks prior to your event.

Can I get testimonials or references?

The baker is more than happy to provide you with testimonials and references on the services provided and the flavors of the cakes.

Is the baker fun and easy to work with?

Yes! The baker understands the time and determination that goes into planning a wedding and wants to make your wedding cake experience worry free. The baker provides a casual and friendly environment that aims to make the bride and party feel comfortable and relaxed through the process.
